We had the best experience with Lakeside Electric. Master electrician Tony and his protégé Rowen upgraded our smoke alarm system by installing new wired and wireless smoke/CO detectors in our home. It was not an easy installation but they performed with professional excellence. Darlene in the back office made all the connections so we were able to schedule the job quickly, get the job done, and follow up with a building inspector that approved all the work on the spot. All this for a reasonable price, on budget. Oh, and they cleaned up so you wouldn’t know they had been there. Couldn’t be happier with this experience.

Lakeside is top-notch all the way. I've had several stellar experiences with their electricians, and the front office does a great job scheduling and being responsive. Tony came out a couple of weeks ago to help us get settled in a new home - he identified key areas of concern, took quality notes, and came back the following week to do all the work (there was a lot). We feel safe and secure knowing how much care he put into his work. And he's clearly an expert at what he does. Tremendous all the way around.

Mark was respectful of my home and listened to our concerns. He stayed within the quote that was given. The only negative thing I can say is that the person they suggested and work with for siding work does sub par work. There was a lack of communication between Mark and him, which Mark quickly fixed himself. I appreciated that, however the j joints etc. looks shoddy (cracked and chipped). I will not be using that gentlemen again and would hire someone else. I will however be using Lakeside for future work.Update: I later found out that one of the workers dropped a box that had a family heirloom in it. It broke, and instead of notifying me, it was stuffed in different corner and it’s pieces were vacuumed up. I noticed it a few days later when I stepped on a piece of glass and realized what it was. I called to speak to someone and no one took ownership of the accident or tried to rectify it. Its been over a week and I’ve heard nothing. It’s irreplaceable but I need to replace it with whatever I can find as it’s a family tradition to use it around the holidays. It’s going to cost me $300 to replace it. Be careful of your home and belongings while they’re working.. from my experience, they won’t take ownership and make it right.

Our experience with Tony, the electrician from Lakeside, was tremendous. The wiring in our tiny new-to-us 650 square foot camp was a nightmare. It wasn’t up to code and then some (we inherited lots of DIY “fixes” that were scary). The wiring was both inadequate and/or non-functioning. Tony fixed everything and made our house so much safer and more user friendly. We feel really fortunate to have had someone do the work who is personable, knowledgeable and highly skilled. Can finally sleep easy knowing that the electrical work has been fully inspected and repaired or installed by a true professional. Highly recommend!

Great customer service and professionalism from Lakeside Electric. We had a new circuit run from our kitchen (for a new garbage disposal) to the downstairs electric panel. Setting up a date/time was pretty easy (only had to wait 3-4 days) and their electrician was on time for the appointment. I probably could have saved some $$ with other firms but it's fine given the quality and the ease of scheduling with Lakeside. I'll definitely use them again for future electric service needs.

In short, Lakeside is solidly reliable, professional, prompt, accurate with quotes, friendly, and accommodating. I needed someone who could not only return my calls, but show up when needed. They are unfailing in this respect. On the flip side, they're not the cheapest option on the market. But to me, you get what you pay for. I'm grateful for all that this company does for the Burlington community.

Nick was a very kind, polite, happy young man. My experience in the past year with three other electricians was awful. One was totally incompetent; one was probably alright but could not solve our problem and the last guy while competent, did install two ceiling fans and rewire a front door light, told me because my husband was using extension cords and had done some wiring himself, the house was going to burn down.So, in walked this young man said he liked a challenge and went to work.

I had a very positive experience with Lakeside Electric - from the initial responsiveness of Darlene and Jennifer through the prompt scheduling and the actual work performed. Chase showed up on the dot of 8, was very professional, pleasant and helpful. Chase found the problems and repaired 2 lights that were not functioning well, and I also have 4 new lights in the basement. Communication is excellent - I won't hesitate to call on Lakeside in the future for any electrical issues.

Mark replaced all our smoke and carbon dioxide detectors. He did a great job. He had an early morning appointment with us but we were out of state and completely forgot about it. He tried to contact us repeatedly but we were unable to respond until we got home later in the day. I called to apologize after I saw the calls and remembered the appt. I was met with understanding and compassion! Plus Mark came after all his appointments were done at the end of the day to take care of us!!! Kudos to Lakeside. We will always have them service our electrical needs.

Lakeside Electric responded quickly to my request to upgrade my lights. Their evaluation and quote was comprehensive and the price was fair and reasonable. Jesse replaced several ceiling light fixtures through the condo and repaired a loose electrical outlet outside on the balcony. He was flexible with our changing schedule and went out of his way to be sure that the work was completed on time. He did a great job and cleaned up everything afterwards. I called with a request to rewire a ceiling light, which I explained was a very quick fix and a low priority. They asked if I wouldn't mind being placed on a waiting list. When I needed urgent installation of a complex set of hard-wired smoke and CO detectors I was lucky to find Lakeside. Their electricians worked overtime late into the night as an "add on" to complete what were some very challenging installations. This enabled me to close on a property sale. I have worked with Lakeside Electric in the past but my recent experience was outstanding! Tony was so great! I could not be present for his service call but Tony made me feel like I was right there. We spoke by phone several times , clearly explaining issues of concern and options for dealing with these issues. He was very observant, alerting me that the sump pump was hooked up to the outlet controlled by the light switch. I feel like he was really looking out for me. I will definitely call Lakeside again for any future electrical needs!!!

Lakeside Electric is AMAZING. We were really in a bind when Benoure showed up to install our Central Air Conditioning last Friday and it turns out we had no power line installed to run to the unit, rendering it useless. We were scrambling for an electrician. Darlene, the owner, was super responsive, professional, kind and did us the extra service of booking this as a cancellation/having one of her team find time to come versus charging us emergency job rates. Super reasonable hourly price, and they took care of the onerous Burlington permit to boot! Highly, highly recommend working with them.

Great service! We had an unexpected and unusual issue crop up with our lights late in the evening and Lakeside responded right away, diagnosing the issue and even coming back the next day to complete some additional work and not charge us the evening premium. They even called with some tips in case it was something we could resolve ourselves and not charge us unnecessarily. That ethical and honest approach is very important to us! While working their electrician was very professional, working quickly to address the issue. We will definitely work with them in the future - highly recommended!

Needed a new in-line fan installed, but knew nothing about it. Jesse came to our house twice. First time to inspect the situation. Follow-up was great. They didn't have the unique fan required for our space, so Jesse personally consulted with us via text until we found the right model.Came back a week or so later for a quick and easy install. Super courteous and worked around our WFH schedule. Also had a ceiling fan for him to install that went off without a hitch. Great experience start to finish!

Jesse is the best electrician my wife and I have ever worked with.We gave him a laundry list of tasks to complete: wire our house for ethernet, add two dedicated circuits to our basement, and add and replace a bunch of light fixtures, light switches, fans, and power outlets. He completed all of these very fast, and was super friendly and professional the entire time.He also had super impressive attention to detail. For example, all the new outlets and switches are aligned perfectly with the existing ones in each room, which is something we've never seen other electricians think much about.We have a bunch more electrician tasks we need done around the house, and we'll definitely be going with Jesse and Lakeside Electric for them!

This company seems well managed and very helpful overall compared to others we called. Their electrician Matt diagnosed and fixed a serious wiring problem that caused multiple lights and outlets to stop working. He did this in the attic and in multiple rooms/closets. We had what we believed to be an emergency on the Sunday after Thanksgiving and were sure we would not get anyone to answer their phones. Lakeside not only answered their phone with a live person but they quickly sent us the kindest most efficient electrician to solve our issue. Lakeside scheduled my appointment within a week. Tony called himself before the appointment to talk about the work to be done. He went above and beyond to move some existing work they had done in my kitchen to make the best possible solution to add wiring for a new wall oven. He made adjustments to the cabinet and helped me install the oven itself so we could ensure it worked before he left. Cannot beat the quality of their work and prices are more than fair.

Very pleased with the service provided by Lakeside Electric. This is the third time we've had to call in a short period of time to have a ballast replaced which I know is a small job from their perspective however a big deal if your the one under the light fixture that is out! They always respond in a timely manner, and it is also such a rare pleasure to actually speak to a human picking up the phone, without going thru layers of voice mail choices. Was able to reach someone on the phone first try on a Thursday for a non-urgent residential need (fan, light fixtures, thermostat upgrade), friendly receptionist told me they would give me a call back within a week and explained scheduling, billing, etc. They then reached out the following Monday and told me to expect the electrician Wednesday, he called Wednesday morning to check my availability and met me at the condo. With only 3 hours billing he fixed a few odds and ends with loose wires/missing connectors to take care of some housekeeping identified on home inspection, then installed a new fan and wall control, 2 thermostats, tightened up entire fusebox. Did not charge me for time to go to warehouse to get supplies and explained everything he was doing, gave me options, etc. Really great experience and I felt the price was more than fair for the promptness and professionalism. Will 100% recommend this company and use them again when it is time to replace a bunch of light fixtures.

We had a minor emergency in our home when a switch failed and resulted in melting of wire coatings within the wall switch box. It smelled very distinctly like there was a fire somewhere in the house. No flames or heat but we were worried about risk of an actual fire. Lakeside was recommended to us by an emergency services contractor. They assigned one of their staff electricians to come over right away. He responded quickly, assessed the problem efficiently, explained his findings in a way that was very easy to understand and repaired it professionally. We are very happy to have found this connection (pun intended) to a great resource for electrical repair services and will gladly recommend Lakeside to anyone in need a reliable, professional electrician. Second note skip ahead 4 months... we contacted Lakeside to do the electrical for a bathroom renovation for my mother. They did a great job of coordinating their work in phases with the other contractors included (carpenters and plumbers) and were very efficient and professional in making sure the bathroom was done correctly as well as correcting shortcuts found in the existing wiring configurations. 5 Stars.

Dana from Lakeside was able to get out to our house to inspect the problem on the same day I called. He was then able to complete the work within a week -- I'm used to much longer waits when working with electricians, plumbers, etc. The work was completed with care and he explained why he was doing each thing while at the same time recommending items for maintenance and pointing out other items that may become an issue in the future. It doesn't hurt that the final bill came in a bit under their estimate. Lakeside Electric will be my first call the next time I need an electrician. Thanks!

I was charged 80$ for an electrician to spend 15 minutes in my home to read the installation handbook for my thermostat (which I had already done) and tell me that he could not help me. He seemed unable to explain exactly what the issue was. He also left without providing me a bill -- I therefore assumed I would not be charged -- I was emailed a week later by billing and told I was being charged 80$.

Absolutely phenomenal service! Our electrician Dana was very thorough in going through our new home and explaining what needed to be addressed or kept in mind for future updating. Very knowledgeable and willing to teach what was happening in every process (which was much appreciated since I know very little about electrical). Always on-time or early to appointments and overall wonderful to work with. I'm certainly calling on Lakeside Electric whenever we need electrical work.

I had a great experience when it came to Dana @ Lakeside Electric replacing my old electrical panel and running several new dedicated circuits. He was on time, professional and is a master @ his craft. I will be using them for all my electrical needs moving forward.
